3. Text Structure :

Language
- Is written in the past tense ( she yelled, it nipped, she walked )
- Frequent use is made of words which link events in time, such as next, later, when, then, after, before, first at the same time, as soon as she left, late on friday
- Recounts describe events, so plenty of use is made of verbs ( action words ), and of adverbs (which describe or add more detail to verbs )
- Details are often chosen to add interest or humour to the recount
- Use of personal pronouns (I,we) (Personal recount)
- the passive voice may be used, eg. the bottle was filled with ink ( Factual Recount )

Last wednesday, I came late to my school because I played playstation until 2.00 am in the night. Because that I woke up about 6.30 am and the class would be began at 7.00 am. I ran to bathroom to take a bath. I usually had a breakfast after took a bath, but in that day I did not do that. I always went to school by motorcycle. But in that day, I forgot where I put the key . So, I went to the school by public transportation. It made me took a longer time. I arrived at school at 7.15 am, I ran to my class but I saw my teacher has stood in front of the class to teach. I entered to my class and of course my teacher was angry to me because I came late. It was my bad experience and I hoped I would not do that again.

Study Tour Yogyakarta
4 years ago, my junior high school held a study tour to Yogyakarta in grade 7. We leave by several buses. Each bus contains 1 class with a total of 32 children. The destinations to be visited are the Batik making place, Prambanan Temple, the Mandala Aerospace Museum, and the souvenir center. There we are not only to have fun but we also learn.
Making Batik, we were shown directly how to make Batik and we were given the opportunity to try it. Prambanan Temple contains Hindu temples. The Mandala Dirgantara Museum contains historical events in the Indonesian Air Force, there are many planes, helicopters, service uniforms, and much more. While the final destination is the Souvenir Center, all students & teachers have the right to buy Yogyakarta-style souvenirs.
After visiting all the places we have to go home because tomorrow we will go to school. We felt tired that day but we were also very happy because we got knowledge that we didn't know yet. Study tours need to be held because we will never find experiences that are not in class and study tours can increase students' interest in learning .
