 Halooo gaiss , bagaimana kabar kalian? aku harap kalian baik baik saja. Okee kali ini kita akan membahas mengenai materi " Short Functional Text " yukk baca sampai selesai .  

1. Definition
Short functional texts are types of informational texts to help the readers understand the information quickly

2. Purposes
Functional texts are written to help readers perform, or function, in their daily lives.

3. Types / Kinds of

Ø Notice ( Warning / Notice )
Notice is writing or a sign to provide information, instructions or a brief warning to the public.

Ø Announcement
Announcement is an official statement or notification that is spoken, written or printed so that it is generally known about something that has happened or will happen.

Ø Short Message
Short Message is short information that functions to inform someone about something when they cannot meet the person in person. Short messages can be in the form of short notes on paper or sent via SMS (Short Message Service).

Ø Greeting card
Greeting cards are cards that express the feelings of another. Usually given an interesting picture or writing to give attention to others.

Ø Invitations
Invitations are invitations given by one person to another to attend an important event, for example: birthday celebrations, wedding anniversaries, school graduations, company anniversaries, etc.

4. Structures

1. Notice:
a. Opening: Contains an introductory picture
b. Content: Contains details or description
c. Closing: Contains a hope for others

2. Announcement:
a. The title or type of event
b. Date or time, place
c. Contact person

3. Short Message:
a. Receive: People who receive
b. Content: Contains of greeting card
c. Sender: People who send

4. Greeting card:
a. Receive: People who receive
b. Content: Contains of greeting card
c. Sender: People who send

5. Invitations:
a. The addressee: The person invited
b. The message: The content of the message
c. The sender: People who invite
